Fedecámaras proposes a comprehensive monthly salary of $ 200
The Federation of Chambers and Associations of Commerce and Production of Venezuela reiterated its proposal for a comprehensive monthly salary of $ 200 for workers and emphasized the need for a new labor model based on fair and sustainable conditions
The president of the Federation of Chambers and Associations of Commerce and Production of Venezuela (Fedecámaras), Adán Celis, reiterated the need to adjust the comprehensive monthly salary of workers to $ 200.
During his participation in the roundtable discussions between business leaders, unions, and government representatives in Nueva Esparta, the official also spoke about the importance of the country moving toward a new labor model, adapted to new times, where companies can maintain financial balance and the workforce receives better benefits.
Celis indicated that “while setting the minimum wage is the responsibility of the national executive branch,” the private sector “is promoting alternative remuneration models through direct agreements between workers and employers.”
The president of Fedecámaras emphasized that these dialogue tables also seek to “leave behind the system based on a rentier economy, a traditional model of accumulating labor liabilities that is no longer viable because it often does not translate into real benefits for workers and creates financial problems for companies.”
