Former English footballer David Beckham announced that he will launch his own collection of non-fungable tokens (NFT) in association with the company DigitalBits.
Likewise, the English will now go from now on as an ambassador of the blockchain company to be able to create a closer link with sports fanatics through new mechanisms.
Beckham, with more than 138 million followers in social networks, will embark on a series of projects related to the area. He even talks about entering the metaverse, as DigitalBits indicated in a press release.
“I am always interested in finding new ways to connect with my fanatics around the world. At the time I talked to Al and the Digitalbits team, I knew that this was a great opportunity to create new experiences for my online fanatics,” said the former Real Madrid and AC Milan player, among others.
This is not the first time that players and teams related to the world of football enter the world of NFT, teams such as FC Barcelona, Paris Saint Germain or players like Lionel Messi, already have their own collection of Tokens.
