Venezuelan authorities announced this Monday the suspension of commercial flights between Venezuela and Colombia. Flights will resume on Monday, May 26, following the parliamentary and regional elections on May 25
In a statement, the Venezuelan Airlines Association (ALAV) reiterated the suspension of commercial flights between Venezuela and Colombia starting this Monday, May 19, until the afternoon of Monday, May 26.
On its social media, the local airline indicated that cargo flights between the two countries will continue, and commercial flights will resume on May 26 at 6:00 p.m.
The statement says: “The aviation community, passengers, the tourism sector in general, and related parties are hereby informed that we have received notification from the aviation authority through NOTAM C0657/25 dated May 19, 2025, establishing the temporary suspension of general and commercial aviation passenger flights to/from the Republic of Colombia.”
Travelers with scheduled itineraries during the flight suspension periods between the two countries are advised to contact their airline to learn about the contingency measures that apply in this case.
