Avior ensures that international flights restart from Barcelona
After 21 months of restricted operations at the José Antonio Anzoátegui International Airport due to the biosecurity measures taken after the pandemic, Avior Airlines makes available direct flights to and from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic from this December 14 and nonstop providing the opportunity to connect with the most important cities of the continent.
The Barcelona-Santo Domingo flights will be every Tuesday and Saturday with departure at 10:30 in the morning, returning from Las Américas International Airport – Dr. José Francisco Peña Gómez, at 2:30 in the afternoon with arrival at Capital of the Anzoátegui State at 04:00 in the afternoon.
They expect a 100 % passenger occupancy for this maiden flight, demonstrating that travelers have regained confidence when flying.
Jorge Añez, director of Avior, stated that thinking of providing the best service to his clients, he sought to establish itineraries that provide the possibility for passengers to reach the largest number of international destinations.
With the reactivation of this Air Terminal with international flights, Avior Airlines is expected to continue adapting its operations and processes that consolidate it as an airline that flies towards excellence.

Before the suspensions of operations due to the pandemic, Avior Airlines, developed a flight itinerary to connect the cities of Caracas, Valencia, Maracaibo, and Margarita, with all their international destinations, occupying almost 80% of the total market share.
From the Venezuelan airline they assure that “our personnel and aircraft are ready and waiting for the green light from the national authorities to expand our destinations.”
Currently, Avior Airlines, has available, every day, flights from Caracas that connect both with the East and West of the country. Flights from Barcelona are made every day, which allows connecting with the airline’s national and international destinations (Panama and Santo Domingo), in addition, passengers are offered the option of being able to fly to Porlamar from Caracas, Barcelona, Maracaibo, Barquisimeto or El Vigia.
