Avior Airlines bets to commercial activity reactivation in Margarita Island

The airline will work hand in hand with seven hotels in the Nueva Esparta state to offer tourist packages that include tickets and accommodation

Avior Airlines, always attentive to encouraging national tourism, is committed to reactivating the commercial activity of Margarita Island – the main destination of the country – as soon as the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) lifts the restriction on commercial air operations, which imposed last March through the quarantine that the National Executive decreed, as a preventive measure against Covid-19.

The Executive President of the airline, Juan Bracamonte, indicated that he will request from the aeronautical authorities the necessary permits to operate as many trips as possible, from Maiquetía to Nueva Esparta state.

In addition to this, he reported that a part of the seats on these flights is planned to be marketed through tourist packages, where passengers purchase tickets and accommodation together. “In this way we all win, which is so much needed,” the hoteliers and the economy in general of the island.

José Yapur, president of Fedecámaras of the Nueva Esparta state, affirmed that the tourism sector of the beautiful island is ready to receive all those who want to vacation. He said that seven hotels in the area will work together with Avior Airlines: The Hesperia Isla Margarita and Playa el Agua; the LD Palm Beach Plus, Palm Beach and Punta Playa hotels; and the Lidotel Margarita and Agua Dorada.

He added that the Sambil Margarita Center will also be part of this project, since all clients who purchase the tourist packages and stay in the aforementioned accommodations, will enjoy daily transfers from the hotel to the shopping center, one of the largest and most important of the area.

Regarding the Santiago Mariño International Airport, the president of Fedecámaras Margarita said that it is also ready to receive tourists. He specified that it recently received renovations and adjustments that have improved.

The airline is ready

Bracamonte reiterated that the airline is prepared to resume operations, national and international, and that it only hopes that INAC considers it safe to do so and suspends the ban on commercial air flights.

He stressed that the airline has ready the flight plan with which it would return to the air and that it has already been presented to the authorities and is only waiting for approval.

“As the measures are lifted, we will inform our passengers all the details of the routes and frequencies that we will offer,” he said.

The Executive President of Avior Airlines recalled that all passengers who have not been able to fly in recent months due to commercial air restrictions in the country, will have priority once operations are re-established; and that they will be able to make the pertinent travel date changes without charging a penalty.
