LaLiga recently reported that it is satisfied with the agreement reached with the sports and technology company EA Sports for the 2023-2024 Spanish championship season.
The leading video game distribution company will contribute approximately 30 million euros per year. The data indicates that this will be the last season of LaLiga Santander, thus culminating the seven-year contract valued at more than 17 million euros.
The season with the new sponsor will be focused on digital content and technology, in a business oriented to the global market, with young people as the main target. In fact, the popular sports video game FIFA will be renamed EA Sports FC starting this season.

LaLiga seeks to achieve a greater presence in the market through a strategic combination of sport and cutting-edge technologies, managing concepts such as grassroots sport, brand, content, as well as considering changes in brand strategies.
The objective is to strengthen the presence and reach of LaLiga at a global level. They do not rule out the organization of various sporting events at a national and international level to make football more accessible to young people.
