Argentina and Mexico, the largest buyers of cryptos in the region

The Finder Cryptocurrency Adoption Index determined that Argentina and Mexico are the ones that carry out the most transactions with these assets, followed by Venezuela and Colombia

A recent study published by the Finder consulting firm determined that Argentina and Mexico became the countries with the highest adoption of cryptocurrencies in the region, followed by Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil.

In December of last year, the consultant conducted a survey in Argentina, obtaining as a result that the region is ranked 13th out of 27 globally with 15.2 % on par with Mexico.

Finder also analyzed how Argentines build their investment portfolios in crypto. The results, which include just over 2,000 people, showed that bitcoin is the leading asset with 16% of the market, followed by ethereum with 14 % share, and behind dogecoin with 12.9 %. solana and ripple share 11.7 % and 10 % respectively.

One of the most curious data of the study is that in Argentina they do not focus exclusively on Bitcoin since the inhabitants have a tendency to diversify their wallets and not give so much importance to a single cryptocurrency.

In the world, the ownership of cryptocurrencies is dominated by young people. An average of 56.1 % of owners are between 18 and 34 years old. And the case of Argentina it is similar; people between 18 and 34 year olds dominate in terms of owning cryptocurrencies, reaching 66.8 %. While 35-54 year olds are the next most likely group to say they own cryptocurrencies with 19.3 %.
