Airbus closed 2025 with a 23 percent increase in net profits after selling 793 commercial aircraft. This year, the manufacturer could achieve record sales with a target of delivering 870 units.
This was announced on Thursday, February 19, by Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury, in a statement announcing the company’s annual results. The executive stated: “2025 was a historic year, characterized by very strong demand for our products and services.”
With the estimated sale of 870 commercial aircraft this year, profits would exceed the €5.2 billion achieved in 2025. Faury highlighted: “These positive results were obtained in a complex and changing operating environment,” referring to the obstacles that both Airbus and its rival Boeing have faced since the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also mentioned the work they are doing to improve their aircraft and adapt to new market demands, particularly regarding fuel consumption and environmental responsibility.
