WhatsApp will allow you to see statuses from the chat
The messaging platform began to roll out an update on iOS that will allow you to check statuses directly in someone's conversation
WhatsApp began the deployment of a new feature that enables users to view status updates within the chat list itself, without having to go to the tab intended for it.
Currently, the application has a section called “Status”, located between Chats and Calls on the main screen of the application, where the updates of the contacts saved in the agenda or on the SIM card are placed.
The company has been working on a new functionality for months, as several pages advanced last May, when it shared a screenshot taken from the WhatsApp Desktop version.
Then, he indicated that the contacts who had published a status would have a profile image surrounded by a green circle in the Chats section and that the rest of his contacts could view this Status directly from said tab.
Likewise, those who have shared several videos or images of their Status will have a circle around their profile image fragmented into as many parts as status updates made.
At the moment, only some beta testers have access to this feature, although the company is expected to expand its number of users “in the coming weeks”.
