Whatsapp will allow you to store temporary messages

The application will soon launch a functionality in its beta version related to the storage of temporary messages

WhatsApp is developing a new functionality that allows temporary messages to be saved in a certain section of the application despite the previously configured display period having expired.

The company introduced temporary chats, which disappear after a certain time in November 2020, and a year later, it integrated options such as new durations of 24 hours and 90 days.

Once the display period established by the sender has expired, either individually (in a single chat) or in several conversations, those configured as temporary disappear and, with them, all the messages that are part of these chats.

However, WhatsApp is working on a new functionality that allows you to store temporary messages and that will be available in future beta updates of the app for Android, iOS and Desktop.

These messages can be consulted from a specific section. Specifically, within the Chat Information section, in a section called Saved Messages.
