WhatsApp will allow you to send voice notes to states

The instant messaging app is working on a new feature related to voice notes

WhatsApp is working on the development of a new function that allows its users to share voice notes in the status updates of the instant messaging application.

WhatsApp statuses came to the app in 2017, introducing the possibility of sharing texts, photos, videos and GIFs that disappear after 24 hours. Since then, the platform has worked on a series of improvements, such as enhancing the preview of shared links in its updates.

Thanks to the new feature, users will be able to post voice memos in these states, as seen in version 2.22.16.3 of the Android Beta program.

The new function will be represented by the same microphone icon present in chats on the instant messaging network. The audio will be shared only with the contacts that the user previously selects from their application privacy settings.

Like the images and videos, this medium indicates that the audios will be encrypted from point to point when they are shared. This new feature is still under development and it is unknown when it will reach WhatsApp beta users.
