Bancamiga offers first financial experience for back to school
The Mastercard Kids Debit Card will be given away to children and teenagers this Saturday at each of its 51 branches
Learning to manage money is one of the best gifts for our children’s future. That’s why, this Saturday, September 19, all 51 Bancamiga branches across the country will open their doors to celebrate the start of the school year and give away the Mastercard Kids Debit Card.
Designed for children and teenagers aged 9 to 17 with national ID cards, this contactless card allows them to take their first steps in managing money easily, safely, and enjoyably:
- A variety of designs so they can choose their favorite style.
- Direct payments at points of sale nationwide.
- Check balance and transaction history online at Bancamiga.
- Top up their Movistar or Digitel mobile phone lines.
It will be a unique day, full of learning, surprises, and joy. All 51 branches will be open starting at 9:00 a.m., with activities designed especially for children, the financial institution stated in a press release.
To open an account, you will need to bring a copy of the ID card (of both the minor and the parent/guardian) and a copy of the birth certificate in the new format issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE) (to verify parentage).
“At Bancamiga, we are passionate about promoting financial education from an early age, encouraging saving and responsibility in children,” stated José Simón Elarba, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bancamiga.
