Bradesco, one of Brazil’s leading private banks, announced that it will allow the purchase and sale of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. Institutional custody of stablecoins and tokenized assets is also planned.

According to Ricardo Barbieri, director of Bradesco, “the bank seeks to position itself in the face of the rapid evolution of this segment of the financial market.”

Cryptocurrency trading will be conducted through the bank’s app, starting with a limit of 10 assets.

The bank seeks to meet the demands of other players in the Brazilian financial system, “such as fund managers, investment administrators, and corporate treasuries that need to hold crypto assets under regulated custody.”
