According to the official, the measure is temporary, while they find simpler ways to verify taxpayers’ tax information.
Consequently, Seniat prosecutors will not be able to require merchants to keep on display in their establishments “the copy of the RIF registration receipt, the income tax return for the immediately preceding year and any other document.”
Maniglia insisted that Seniat is working on simplifying procedures, based on the “pillars of modernization, digitalization and automation”, for the agency’s transformation, in addition to “facilitating taxpayer management before Seniat.”
In addition, he indicated that the regulatory framework is being reviewed in order to advance a “more efficient interconnection between all the actors involved in the tax system, avoiding manual processes, the printing of documents that are already in our databases and we know their status.”
