Venezuelan professional basketball experienced a historic day: Gaiteros del Zulia was crowned champion of the 2025 Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto (SPB) after defeating Trotamundos de Carabobo 80-67 in the fifth game of the final series, sealing a resounding 4-1 overall victory. With this achievement, the western team claimed its fifth championship and reaffirmed its place among the greats of national basketball.
Basketball fans in general, and those living or born in Zulia State in particular, wherever they are, began celebrating last Saturday at the end of the game.
