Cryptocurrency payment platform Crixto deploys 20,000 points of sale in Venezuela

The Venezuelan cryptocurrency payment platform Crixto deployed 20,000 points of sale in different businesses, strengthening the adoption of these assets and as a commercial solution nationwide

The Venezuelan cryptocurrency payment platform Crixto is emerging as a new commercial solution for buyers, who will now benefit from the deployment of 20,000 points of sale in different businesses throughout the country.

There are thousands of stores that now offer the possibility of canceling purchases with cryptocurrencies through a simple and secure process through Crixto.

The objective of this platform with a Venezuelan seal is to enable this form of payment at the end of 2024, with plans to reach up to 100,000 points of sale.

This was announced exclusively for DiarioBitcoin by Crixto’s Business Development Director, Julio Molina. He stressed that the company “is working with a series of commercial allies to implement this new payment solution, which will make it easier for Venezuelans to pay with digital currencies such as USDT, – a stablecoin linked to the dollar –, in hundreds of affiliated businesses for their daily purchases, in a very similar way to how they use other traditional payment mechanisms such as debit cards.”

Crixto designed an application “that is installed in the operating system of existing POS devices that use Android technology. This operating system allows us to interact with our APK and in this way users who wish to pay with cryptocurrencies can do so easily.”

The process includes payment validation and registration of the operation through a ticket, since it works like traditional points of sale. It includes online exchange and a mobile application so that users can carry out “operations such as deposits, transfers, exchanges, withdrawals and payments between cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies.” The cryptocurrencies available for these operations are Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, DAI, Dogecoin, and Litecoin. On the other hand, it is also possible to make instant changes between USDT and bolivars via mobile payment.

Likewise, it allows the creation of a “QR code and payment buttons to help businesses accept cryptocurrencies, as well as a payroll payment service for companies interested in paying their employees salaries using digital currencies.”

According to data from the platform, it already has more than 15,000 active users, including natural and legal persons, who daily carry out operations with cryptocurrencies, including remittances and prepaid mobile recharges to different operators.

It is important to note that the company has indicated that it has proper registration with SUNACRIP, the national cryptoasset regulator.
