The multinational Google, owner of YouTube, is considering the idea of adding a new function to the music channel called Listening control through a few buttons at the bottom of the screen so that users can better control what they are seeing.
With a simple touch on the three vertical points, which will appear at the top right, a pop-up window will be displayed and by selecting those controls “we will make all the information on likes, shares, as well as other recommended videos, disappear to show a empty surface only populated with those buttons.”
The reason why YouTube wants to do this is the “possibility of playing content in the background, with the screen off, both when listening to music, such as talks, lectures, homilies by youtubers or whatever.” This is a feature that Premium users with paid subscription are already enjoying.

With the YouTube redesign in all that area of controls, subscribers will be able to “manage what they see as if it were a song on Spotify or any other platform quickly and without so much noise on the screen.”
The company considers that users value these changes positively because sometimes so many elements on the screen make it difficult to operate the playback, select the direction or what to do.
YouTube is said to possess a two-keys soul. The first is the “world’s most important video playback platform,” which houses millions of user-uploaded content. The second is associated with the streaming music app that on different occasions “overshadows what Google considers its main option, which is YouTube Music.”
