Venezuela’s economic growth expected to exceed 10 % by the end of 2026

According to José Gregorio Rodríguez, president of Consecomercio, Venezuela is projected to close 2026 with economic growth exceeding 10%, and the commercial sector is expected to rebound between 3 % and 4 %

The president of the National Council of Commerce and Services (Consecomercio), José Gregorio Rodríguez, indicated that Venezuela’s economic growth could exceed 10% by the end of 2026.

Regarding the commercial sector, the president of the business association emphasized that it is expected to experience a rebound of 3 % to 4%  by the end of this year.

As Rodríguez stated in a television interview, “this positive trend will become more evident as the year progresses.” He added that economic growth will be reflected in the second half of 2026, “because the measures that can be adopted today are the product of a process.”

He emphasized the importance of a balance in key factors such as “tax burdens, financing, the simplification of administrative procedures, and attracting investment. For Rodríguez, the sustainability of growth depends on a comprehensive vision.”

On May 21 and 22, Consecomercio will hold an assembly in Lara state, where stakeholders in the sector will address essential and strategic issues related to national economic development.
