Venezuela will certify hotels personnel excellence through a strategic alliance

The Ministry of People's Power for Tourism (Mintur), through the National Institute of Tourism (Inatur), signed an alliance with the National Institute for Training and Socialist Education (Inces) and the Venezuelan Association of Five-Star Hotels (Avecintel) to certify knowledge in the hotel sector

With the aim of raising the standard of quality in Venezuela’s tourism sector, the Ministry of People’s Power for Tourism (Mintur), through the National Institute of Tourism (Inatur), signed a strategic alliance with the National Institute for Training and Socialist Education (Inces) and the Venezuelan Association of Five-Star Hotels (Avecintel).

The decision, which seeks to grant certification in hospitality trades training to all those involved in the industry, is the result of a meeting held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Caracas, with the participation of “experts from the public and private sectors, who were responsible for validating knowledge in areas of hotel service.”

The initiative has already certified workers in four specific workshops: housekeeping, floor supervision, laundry service improvements, and room clinic.

The certification highlights the sector’s commitment to professional development through recognition of “workers’ experience, knowledge, and passion for service, to promote a culture of excellence that goes beyond traditional training.”

This alliance will produce trainers; leaders who “will have the mission of replicating knowledge and, more importantly, transmitting the vocation and love for hospitality, thus ensuring a legacy of quality and exceptional service throughout the country’s tourism industry.”
