The governor of Miranda state, Eli Serrano, indicated that 280 tons of tajalí fish are expected to be exported to China before the end of 2025.
The regional leader stated that this amount of tajalí fish is in addition to the 24 tons exported in July from the processing plant in the Venezuelan state.
According to Serrano, “these exports reflect the government’s efforts to boost the economy by offering high-quality protein with a national seal.”
He highlighted the commitment of the Miranda state fishing sector, “which has contributed significantly to the country’s total exports in the last five years. Of the 17 million kilos of fishery products shipped abroad, three million came from this state, equivalent to 21 % of the national volume,” Serrano emphasized.
On the other hand, the Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Processing and Distribution, José Gregorio Briceño, noted that tajalí “ranks fourth among fishery products exported by Venezuela, with a presence in more than 50 international markets.”
