Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro affirmed that the country is ready to attract international investment in oil and gas

Nicolás Maduro, President of Venezuela, indicated during a meeting with economic sector officials that the country is ready for international investment in oil and gas.

The president emphasized the importance of creating a “comprehensive, national economic model, articulated with the world and that fulfills three fundamental elements: production, supply, and export.”

Maduro declared that during the month of February, the nation produced 1,058,000 barrels of oil per day and reiterated his promise in January, upon assuming his new mandate, that Venezuelan oil fields “will continue producing, growing, and consolidating their production.”

Maduro said: “No one in this world will be able to remove us from the equation of global energy stability and security. No one can exclude us from an equation of which we are a part.”
