The United States increases national security funding
JPMorgan Authorizes $5 Billion for US National Security Through Allocation to Key Security Companies
JPMorgan announced it will allocate $5 billion of its own capital to strategic companies in the US security sector. The Security and Resilience initiative facilitated nearly $230 billion during its first year of implementation.
The corporate strategy’s main objective is to strengthen key industries for the global economy, prioritizing advanced manufacturing, the energy sector, strengthening supply chains, and developing defense-related technologies.
The $230 billion represents global equity and debt financing under a 10-year program, for a comprehensive financial reach that goes beyond direct investments. The bank maintains an ambitious long-term goal of $1.5 trillion for this initiative.
