China’s economy shows slight growth in last quarter
According to data from China's National Bureau of Statistics, the country's economy grew 4.5 % year-on-year in the last quarter
Recent data from China’s National Bureau of Statistics reports year-on-year economic growth of 4.5 % in the last quarter.
“The figure slightly exceeded AFP’s projection of 4.4 %, based on a survey of economists, and remains at the lower end of the official target for 2026, of 4.5 to 5 %,” the agency stated.
On the other hand, retail trade grew 1.1 % year-on-year last month, exceeding projections from the financial agency Bloomberg.
The data is favorable, considering that China is facing a decline in domestic consumption.
