The UCAB promotes its Great Raffle 2023 to contribute to the training of more students

The Fundación Andrés Bello (FAB), a non-profit institution that promotes charitable and social assistance works, especially linked to the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), presented a new proposal to raise funds for the scholarship program of the higher education institution; This is with the idea that more UCABista students begin or continue their professional training. This is the Gran Rifa UCAB 2023.

Coinciding with the institution’s 70th anniversary, on Tuesday, October 24, the FAB officially launched the raffle, conceived in a virtual format. The value of each ticket is 20 dollars (or its equivalent in bolivars at the official BCV rate) and can be purchased until December 14, through the GOliiive electronic platform, www.goliiive.com/gran-rifa-ucab.

The raffle will take place on December 15, 2023, for which raffle management software will be used. The announcement of the results will be made through the UCAB website, https://www.ucab.edu.ve, and the FAB: https://fab.ucab.edu.ve.

• First prize: One (1) 0 kilometer Hyundai brand car, Grand i10GL 2023 model.
• Second prize: Two (2) round trip tickets to Miami, courtesy of the Venezuelan airline Laser Airlines.
• Third prize: Two (2) round-trip tickets to Margarita, courtesy of Laser Airlines, and accommodation at the IKIN Margarita Hotel and Spa for a weekend.

Those who are winners will be contacted via the telephone number and email they provided when purchasing their ticket. The prize will be published after verification of personal data and validation of the QR code received at the time of ticket purchase.

On the occasion of the 2023 Christmas holiday, winners will be able to claim their prize on December 18 and 19, 2023, and on business days between January 8 and 19, 2024. If any winner is outside the country, they must record the respective authorization.

Solidarity aimed at supporting the training of university students in Venezuela

The director of UCAB Graduates, Nicola Yammine, called for the solidarity of the Ucabista community and Venezuelan society in general. He recalled that this initiative has a social purpose and is a significant collection, since the money collected will be destined to support education in the country.

«The invitation is not only for our university community, teachers, students, administrative staff and graduates who, in some way, can connect with this initiative; but also for university friends. From the university we are looking for a way to connect, work on a sense of belonging and continue investing in education. And that is not only with the Ucabistas and the Venezuelans who are in the country, but also with those who are outside,” he said.

The Gran Rifa UCAB 2023, completely virtual, seeks to establish itself as another of the mechanisms used by the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello to contribute to the scholarship fund that currently benefits more than 30 % of the institution’s students, at its headquarters. Caracas and Guyana.

Last May, the UCAB held the second edition of its Becatón, a fundraising day broadcast in alliance with the main television and radio stations in the country, in which 305 thousand dollars were raised.
