Telegram will submit to the authority data from users who violate use rules
A new announcement from Telegram says the platform will submit to the authority the information from users who violate the use rules
Telegram announced a new rules change. The platform said it will submit to the Justice the information from users who violate the use rules.
According to a spokesperson from the company, they will bring to the authority data such as IP address and phone number of users who do not follow the rules.
The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, made the announcement this Monday in his account on the platform, and stressed his compromise with the Justice on security aspects.
Durov indicated the decision really looks to persuade potential transgressors. He added the measure’s target are “people who do not respect our rules to sell illegal products.”
They made the announcement after a group of moderators used AI to optimize the platform efficiency. They have already identified the “problematic contents” which are no more available in the searcher.
