Snapchat opens its first office in Mexico

The company Snap, owner of the social network, announced that it began its expansion process within Latin America

The company Snap, owner of the social network Snapchat, opened its first office in Mexico, which is part of an expansion process within Latin America.

Currently, the social network has about 265 million active users around the world, and in Mexico in particular the application is used by at least 15 million people.

In addition to opening an office in the region, Snap announced that it will implement a series of initiatives, strategic alliances related to telecommunications and original equipment manufacturing.

Ana Daniela Portillo, Market Development Leader for Mexico, aims to direct its expansion in Mexico, in addition to carrying out alliances with Mexican companies and institutions.

Among Snap’s initiatives are the development of augmented reality (AR) glasses, as well as exclusive creative tools in Mexico that include collaborations with local artists like César Menchaca for Independence Day; Jacobo and María Ángeles for the Day of the Dead, and Los Metzican for Christmas.
