Russia prepares second oil shipment to Cuba
Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsiviliov announced that the country is preparing a second oil shipment to Cuba, after Donald Trump authorized the first delivery as a humanitarian measure
Cuba is preparing for the arrival of a second oil tanker from Russia, after the country’s Energy Minister, Sergey Tsiviliov, indicated that loading of the second tanker had already begun.
As is known, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, allowed the Russian tanker “Anatoly Kolodkin,” carrying 730,000 barrels of crude oil, to enter Cuba. It arrived on Tuesday, March 31, through the port of Matanzas.
Trump stated that it was a humanitarian measure for the Cuban people, dismissing criticism from Russia regarding US sanctions against the island.
Russia’s move comes amid the energy crisis stemming from the Middle East conflict, with global repercussions.
