Ronald José Rubio Ampueda explains why New Arrival is inspiration and lifestyle

From Venezuela to the world. Our beloved country and its talents deserve a leading brand in our category or sector that effectively generates a sense of belonging

The Venezuelan businessman Ronald José Rubio Ampueda, president of New Arrival recently commented and explained the history of this attractive sports clothing and footwear brand, detailing how it has evolved so far, what its purpose and inspiration are and the plans for the future.

The first thing he revealed was the very inception of the brand, pointing out that the idea was born during a visit to Hong Kong. It was there that this combination of words (which in Spanish means ‘new arrival’ or ‘last arrival’) so used in airports caught his attention, and it stuck with him to such an extent that he decided to work hard and register it.

What followed the idea was its execution, starting with a sports shoe brand. Then, as the line grew and developed, the textile and accessories brand was incorporated, and since then the firm has not stopped growing and consolidating a style: “We have a brand with a lifestyle as a concept. You can do sports, walk, dress to go out, for the day to day,” Rubio emphasized.

Commitment to sport

A well-established characteristic of New Arrival is its commitment to sport. The president of the company explained that both, he and his partner, are athletes, and they believe that Venezuela deserves its flagship brand, made by and created for Venezuelans, which brings strength to young local talents.

In that sense, Rubio explained that New Arrival wants to accompany these young talents from the beginning, from children’s categories to the professional level, and that is why they bet 100 % on sports. A good example of a field where this premise is fulfilled is baseball, a discipline that the brand supports by dressing many academies and even several LVBP (VPBL in English) teams.

But, why sport? This is how the president of the company answers: “Sport for us is inspiration, discipline and training. It is an experience, and that is New Arrival. We share what is called the inspiration of sport as the inspiration of the brand.”

Venezuela, our pride

Ronald José Rubio Ampueda emphasizes that the New Arrival team loves Venezuela with passion and recognizes its talents, wether it be sporting, intellectual or professional. The brand, he said, accompanies the lifestyle of young people who want to inspire and get out of the common denominator. How? “Being inspired to dress up and feel good. Not out of vanity but out of necessity. New Arrival completes that: I am a talent that I like to look good, be good and feel good.” To this you can add our brand, add value. We want to be part of your life, part of your success and your talent“, he declared… And they achieving it!

The businessman feels very proud of what has been achieved so far with the brand, and it makes him very happy and to be recognized nationally and internationally. However, there is a very particular achievement that fulfills him even more. This is how he told it as an anecdote:

“My mother studied with David Concepción, a bulwark of Venezuelan baseball, and she always wanted one of her three children to play to be her great pride. From a very young age we practiced baseball a lot, and it became a discipline. My older brother entered the LVBP. I did not … but I did have the great honor and pride of inviting my mother to watch a game, and there I told her: ‘Mom, we are already inside the Tigres de Aragua’. It was very exciting that we dressed the whole team! We don’t play but we dress them!“.

With the same enthusiasm, Rubio hopes to continue sowing quality, feelings and inspiration to Venezuelans with New Arrival. And becoming the brand with a national sense. They want those who have the opportunity to use the brand feel proud of themselves because, in their opinion, Venezuela deserves a leading brand that generates a sense of belonging.
