This Tuesday, February 17, the state-owned oil company Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) announced its pilot program for the sale of 97-octane Super Premium gasoline at gas stations in Caracas.
At these service stations, this high-quality fuel is being sold for $1 per liter, which is double the current price of regular gasoline ($0.50 per liter).
According to experts, the capacity of gasoline tanks depends on the vehicle’s engine displacement, “ranging from 35 to 120 liters, so filling the tank could cost between $35 and $120.”
If this initiative proves successful, the plan would be extended to other states in the country.
