Oliveros: “Actual value of the petro is $ 400”

The economist and professor of the Metropolitan University assured that, according to the established in the white paper, the cryptoactive would have a higher value

Within the framework of the Forum on Hyperinflation, Crisis and Solutions, carried out by the Parliamentary Studies Institute Fermín Toro, the economist Luis Oliveros assured that the value currently held by the digital petro currency is not what corresponds.

According to him, and starting from what is established in the cryptoactive white paper, the real value of the petro should be set at 400 dollars.

“Right now we have a new petro. The white paper now fixed four additional components (diamonds, gold, iron and oil) so starting from this, the actual value of the cryptoactive is $ 400.”

With this, the true value of the minimum wage, after it was anchored to the value of the Venezuelan electronic currency, should be approximately 200 dollars. “If we comply with what the white paper says, this should be the minimum income in the country,” said Oliveros.

On the other hand, the economist emphasized that the petro can be considered as an assimilation of what Brazil did with the “real plan”, in the conjuncture that they suffered from the phenomenon of hyperinflation in 1994.

“The petro is a copy of what was done in Brazil with the real plan …. The Venezuelan government skipped the two previous steps of the tax reform and the renegotiation of the debt, so it was decided to launch fully with a unit of account that would be the petro,” said the economist.
