National Bank of Ukraine seeks a blockchain expert
A job offer related to this sector and with the issuance of a digital currency was recently published
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) is in search of a blockchain developer as published by the director of the NBU’s IT department, Vladimir Nagornyuk.
According to the job offer, the financial institution is looking for an expert in “the development, implementation and modification of infrastructure services and distributed systems.”
The central bank’s interest in hiring a blockchain specialist adds to other recent news coming from Ukraine’s CBDC project, the e-hryvnia. Last week, at a round table on the opportunities and risks of legalizing digital assets, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Bornyakov mentioned the e-hryvnia pilot project that is underway.
This is not the first that the NBU has talked about its intentions to issue digital currency. Since 2016 the bank has been speaking about this fact and now the hiring of this expert could mean another important step to fulfill this.
