It’s normal to find at least one personal computer in every home these days. We owe this to Microsoft, a company launched on April 4, 1975, by Bill Gates and Paul Allen.
50 years have passed since then; the company has adapted to new market demands and aligned itself with the challenges posed by artificial intelligence today.
The Windows operating system is one of its flagships; It appeared 10 years after the company’s launch, and over the years it has positioned itself as a leader in the segment with updates that currently extend to Windows 11.
Microsoft has expanded its commercial presence with the acquisition of services, social networks, accessory companies such as controllers and chips, and launched its own search engine called Bing.
In 2019, it established an alliance with OpenAI that has allowed it to advance toward a language model that would usher in the era of generative AI. Then came Copilot, Microsoft’s assistant, and Copilot+ PC.
The company is reinventing and adapting to millions of users worldwide increasingly efficient, secure, and user-friendly tools.
