Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, recently announced that this 2025 the company will invest a large sum in the development of artificial intelligence to support key products of the firm.
According to Zuckerberg, this year will be “decisive for artificial intelligence.” In this sense, he indicated that Meta will invest more than $65 billion in AI during this year.
He stressed that this commercial initiative will “allow them to boost the company’s main products and businesses.”
It was learned that the company plans to build a data center of more than 2 gigawatts, “large enough to cover a significant part of Manhattan.” On the other hand, according to Zuckerberg, they will have to expand the hiring of specialized AI personnel and acquire up to 1.3 million graphic processors.
The company maintains high expectations “for its assistant, Meta AI, which is available on all its main platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger. Zuckerberg expects that, by the end of 2025, Meta AI will reach 1 billion users.”
