Meta will develop “AI people” to help users

Meta announced that it is employing part of its staff to develop tools focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and that in the future it will focus on creating “AI people” that can help users use its services.

The company unveiled its own machine language AI model a few days ago, which works similarly to ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, and was dubbed LLaMA, an abbreviation for Large Language Model Meta AI.

Meta commented that, for the moment, LlaMA is her research project in development and that she hoped to continue training her for the next few months. In addition, he said it will be available under a non-commercial license both for researchers and for entities and organizations affiliated with the public administration, academia and civil society.

The CEO of the company, Mark Zuckerberg, explained that part of his team focused their efforts on developing tools based on generative AI, with the aim of applying it to their products.

The manager highlighted that, soon, this team will focus “on developing people with AI who can help users in various ways” and commented that he is now exploring “experiences with text, such as chat on WhatsApp and Messenger”, with images, As it shows, Instagram already has its creative filters and other advertising formats; video and “multimodal experiences”.

With this, Zuckerberg announced that they have “a lot of groundwork” before getting “the really futuristic experiences” that he plans to implement in these services, although he has not commented on what they will consist of.
