Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has indicated that the country maintains stable annual growth in the agricultural sector, which is between 4.5 and 5 %.
Maduro emphasized that 14.5 million hectares are available for production, aimed at meeting the needs of the population and for exports.
The president stated through his Telegram channel: “We are going to be the world’s breadbasket, to supply with quality and good prices, and to export.”
He also highlighted the importance of national production, “not just in the countryside, but also in the cities, and what is being produced is the entire country. The stable annual growth of 4.5 % to 5 % in agricultural production is very significant.”
In his Monday program, “Con Maduro+,” the Venezuelan president explained that the main goal is “to transform the Venezuelan people into major food producers with global export capacity” and emphasized: “No one will be able to stop Venezuela on its path to becoming the world’s breadbasket, producing food and our wealth for the production of the land.”
