The National Electoral Council of Venezuela announced that the legislative and gubernatorial elections will be held on April 27

Next April 27 is the date set by the National Electoral Council of Venezuela for the legislative and gubernatorial elections, as announced by the president of said body, Elvis Amoroso.

In the statement issued this Monday, by Amoroso, it is indicated that on the mentioned date “the elections of deputies to the National Assembly (AN), of the governors of the country and also of the legislators of the Legislative Councils will be held.”

The elections scheduled for April 27 are part of the “fulfillment of our constitutional obligations and in accordance with article 42 of the Organic Law of electoral processes,” said Amoroso.

It is important to remember that the CNE has been in permanent session since January 17 to establish the dates of other electoral processes scheduled for this 2025 and will progressively announce the details of each one.

According to Amoroso, “the organization will hold the elections for governors and regional legislative councils, and municipal councils, and deputies of the National Assembly (unicameral parliament).”

In addition, “six consultations on communal power projects are planned for this 2025, in which the communal circuits will nominate and vote for the community projects that will be financed through the Federal Government Council (CFG).”
