Juan Guaidó disqualified from public office

The decision was announced by the General Comptroller of the Republic, Elvis Amoroso, who indicated that the president of the National Assembly hid data from his statement, in addition to receiving funds of local and international entities without justification

This Thursday was known the disqualification of Juan Guaidó, president of the National Assembly of Venezuela, for public office by fifteen years. This was indicated by Elvis Amoroso, General Comptroller of the Republic.

The decision, according to the official, is based on that Guaidó allegedly had omitted and falsified information in his statement of patrimony, which is typified as an act of corruption. In addition, the deputy would have received money from national and international without justification.

Through a statement to the media, Amoroso highlighted that the deputies are obliged to fulfill their functions permanently and in this sense Guaidó has detached himself from his charge and has made alliances with foreign governments and usurped functions that do not correspond to his position.

It is important to point out that the General Comptroller’s Office is the responsible for overseeing the finances of public agencies of the State. In this regard, it has commissioned entities such as the Seniat and the Public Ministry to apply the corresponding measures to the case of disqualification for public office for fifteen years to Juan Guaidó.

Reactions to this announcement have not been made to wait through local and international media as well as social networks that collect opinions for and against from Mexico, Spain, Central and South America.

Juan Guaidó, who is today at the College of Engineers for the  announcement of the Country Plan, has indicated that there is no such inspector or constituent assembly in the country but the desire to divert the attention of Venezuelans from the current crisis.
