Google removes ban on cryptocurrency ads

The search engine announced on its official blog that from August 3 this service for exchanges will be available again

The giant Google recently indicated that it will no longer ban ads related to cryptocurrencies and digital asset exchanges.

As of August 3, according to the search engine’s official news blog, exchange and wallet operators will once again be allowed to advertise “those products and services that are certified by Google.”

In order to do so, companies wishing to advertise must be registered with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, as a money services business.

There are still certain restrictions that are firmly in place. For example, according to the upcoming policy update, a significant portion of current DeFi projects will not be able to use the company’s services.

“Announcements of initial coin offerings, DeFi trading protocols, or in any way promoting the purchase, sale or trade of cryptocurrencies or related products” remain prohibited.
