Global mining industry leaders to hold international coal congress

The International Coal Congress will take place from October 28 to 30, with the participation of global leaders in the mining industry. The event will be held in Maracaibo, Zulia State, in western Venezuela

The Ministry for Sustainable Mining Development and its subsidiary, Carbones del Zulia S.A. (Carbozulia), are organizing the International Coal Congress, which will take place in Maracaibo, Zulia State, from October 28 to 30.

International mining industry leaders will participate to address issues related to the sustainable development of economies, Venezuela’s coal reserves, and the possibility of establishing strategic alliances and attracting investors to the sector.

“The congress will open a window to investment opportunities in the coal industry in Venezuela, both in Zulia State and in other parts of the country, and will allow us to learn, through the participation of international guests, about the outlook for coal in global energy markets.”

Likewise, the event “is positioned as a platform designed for growth and business expansion,” with several business networking sessions, “which will allow national and international investors to explore and formalize strategic partnerships.”

During the congress, Venezuelan coal will be presented by representatives of the producing companies in the Zulia region, in western Venezuela, who will “highlight the unique properties of this mineral and its role in building a prosperous and sustainable economic future.”
