Four new vice ministers appointed at Venezuelan Foreign Ministry

Interim President Delcy Rodríguez announced on Monday the appointment of four new vice ministers at the Foreign Ministry to oversee strategic areas such as trade, communications, cooperation, and international relations

On Monday, Venezuela’s interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the appointment of four new vice ministers at the country’s Foreign Ministry.

The measure represents a reorganization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “encompassing the areas of Latin America, International Communication, Asia-Middle East-Oceania, and Europe-North America.”

In this regard, Mauricio Rodríguez will head the Vice Ministry for Latin America to “continue promoting a foreign policy focused on peace, integration, and the unity of peoples, based on mutual respect and fraternal cooperation.”

Furthermore, Rander Peña was appointed Vice Minister for International Communication; Andrea Corao Faria as Vice Minister for Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania to “strengthen strategic relations and cooperation with countries in those regions”; and Oliver Blanco as Vice Minister for Europe and North America.
