The first Hydrocarbons Sovereignty Expofair will begin on March 20 at Simón Bolívar Park in La Carlota, Caracas, according to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, and will run for 10 days.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced that the first Hydrocarbons Sovereignty Expofair will begin on March 20 at Simón Bolívar Park in La Carlota.

The exposition will run for 10 days, with presence throughout the country, and is aimed at encouraging “the vocation of children and young people in science and technology applied to the production of gas, oil, and their derivatives.”

In this regard, Maduro indicated that the Venezuelan Institute of Petroleum Technology (Intevep) “must work in coordination with the National Scientific Seedbeds Program to promote science among children and young people throughout the country in all elementary schools.”

The expo-fair will be a channel to “showcase the technological products developed by Venezuelan scientists, aimed at meeting the demands of the sector,” according to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
