Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg participated in the launch last week of the Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses, which feature a digital display on the right lens, along with other products, such as the Oakley Vanguard glasses, designed for athletes.

These features are supported by Quark, the digital assistant developed by Alibaba, and Qwen. It is based on its own artificial intelligence model. All of this allows the smart glasses to interpret voice commands, manage tasks, and offer contextual responses.

“Unlike Meta, which has focused on integration with social networks, Alibaba’s focus appears to be on productivity, commerce, and everyday services. The ability to directly access platforms like Taobao or Alipay makes these glasses a practical tool for everyday life in China.”

Facebook and Ray-Ban presented their first model of Ray-Ban Stories smart sunglasses, developed jointly and which have functions such as a camera and built-in audio for both listening to music and making calls.
