The Axie Infinity universe appears to be showing signs of recovery, as its non-fungible token (NFT) sales volume has increased by 205 % over the past week.

Jeff Zirlin, co-founder of this project, spoke about this last week after also stating that the metaverse is currently “healing”, referring to the adoption of NFT land staking.

One of the factors that has contributed to this sudden increase appears to be the growing appetite for Axie Infinity Land NFTs following the launch of staking support on July 4.

The staking feature allows Land owners to earn weekly rewards in the native game token Axie Infinity (AXS). Until recently, roughly 91 % of the 16,794 outstanding reserves have been staked, according to data from explorer Ronin Chain.

It is important to remember that the pause was due to a hack that the company suffered on March 29, worth 600 million dollars.

The Ronin Bridge is an ethereum sidechain built for Axie Infinity, and allows users to transfer assets between the sidechain and the ethereum mainnet.

After three audits, one internal and two external, and after a redesign process and full compensation, this connection tool is available again.

In total, Sky Mavis has so far redeemed 117,600 eth and 25.5 million usdc, providing the ethereum liquidity to support users’ wrapped eth on the Ronin network.
