In this regard, the Asian nation “has launched an action plan to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) throughout its education system, from elementary school to university, with the goal of improving the quality of teaching and developing talent for the digital age,” according to an announcement by the Ministry of Education.

The government plan aims to “incorporate AI into teacher certification exams and expand its teaching among elementary and secondary school students through structured courses adapted to each level.”

On the other hand, there is a proposal to use intelligent systems throughout the entire educational process — before, during, and after classes — “to reduce teachers’ workload and increase efficiency.”

These include tools for automatic correction, tutoring assistance, and classroom behavior analysis to improve the quality of teaching. The education system will develop curricular frameworks that define objectives, content, and teaching hours at each educational stage.

At the university level, the plan is “to make artificial intelligence a common core subject, as well as to develop materials adapted to different disciplines and promote interdisciplinary programs that combine AI with other areas of knowledge.”

Another necessary step in this direction is adapting current academic programs and specializations to new technological and industrial demands, with the creation of new programs linked to emerging sectors.

They highlighted China’s strong presence in this field and its well-developed industrial ecosystem, with a particular focus on use in passenger vehicles, as emphasized by Erwin Penfornis, vice president of Air Liquide’s global hydrogen energy business line, at the B2B forum entitled “Hydrogen Markets in Action: Europe, the United States, China, India, and the Global Race for Expansion.”

The Chinese government has been testing new technologies and fostering competition to find “more effective solutions for the production and application of hydrogen energy in the country.”

Meanwhile, the Hydrogen Europe association has indicated that China “ranks first globally in committed investment in hydrogen by 2030 and accounts for the majority of hydrogen production both in Asia and globally.”

The association highlighted that the nation has world-class electrolyzers (the key component for hydrogen production), highly competitive with those manufactured in Europe, as emphasized by Khaled Nageib, director of Egypt Hydrogen.

China’s plan contemplates “a well-organized industrial design and promoting the widespread use of hydrogen production from renewable sources by 2030, which would provide robust support for achieving its carbon-minimum emissions targets.”

On the other hand, the organization forecasts that by the end of the decade, Spain’s annual growth will be 1.6 %, while for the eurozone, the expansion would be 1.3 % in 2028, 1.2 % in 2029, and 1.1 % in 2030.

Regarding inflation, prices are expected to rise by 2.2 % in 2025 and 1.9 % in 2026, while they would rise by 2.1 % in 2027.

Regarding the unemployment rate in Spain, the IMF forecasts a decrease to 11.1 % in 2025 and 11 % in 2026. In this context, the number of employed persons is expected to continue to rise to 21.9 million in 2025 and exceed 22 million next year.

Issues such as debt and deficit are also addressed in the IMF report. In this regard, forecasts call for a decline to 2.7 % of GDP this year, “and a further decline in 2026, reaching 2.4 %.” In the case of public debt, this indicator will fall to 100.6 % in 2025 and “will continue to decline relative to GDP over the remainder of the IMF’s projection horizon, reaching 99 % of GDP in 2026.”

In 2024 these investments stood at $ 84 billion. However, this figure will increase, driven by “investments in modernization and digitalization of the network due to the increase in electrification processes and the ongoing energy transition towards net-zero energy.”

Other factors are also determining in this increase, such as the need for digital transformation of the network. In this regard, Dominique Bonte, Vice President of End Markets and Verticals at ABI Research, indicated: “The benefits of the digital transformation of energy networks are enormous and far-reaching,” adding that the most important thing “is that it allows real-time management, orchestration and continuous reconfiguration of increasingly complex and distributed energy networks and assets, while unlocking much-needed additional generation and transmission capacity.”

Key technologies in digitalization, according to ABI Research, are digital and virtual power substations; energy network management programs; connectivity and the cloud, among others.

The European Commission states that digital travel documents “will be free, voluntary and less annoying, and will offer a more fluid and safe experience for travelers” of the EU Schengen space.

People who leave or enter in this space “can digitally store their travel credentials, according to the plans presented by the European Commission.”

In this sense, from the organization they have assured that the giving them collected in the chip of a passport or identity document can be transferred to a smartphone with the aim of expediting the border crossing.

Vera Jourová, vice president of the Commission and responsible for values and transparency, estimates that the digitalization of the passport and other documents will allow “a more fluid and safe travel experience.”

The European agency emphasizes that having the information about travel plans and the documents previously digitized and saved in an electronic device will allow them to present them to the authorities in advance. This will result in a time reduction for the border crossing process invested in the verification of the information.

With this, the authorities may focus on more worrying aspects, “such as immigrant traffickers.” This digital document is expected to enter into force in 2030.

The digital passport in the region still expects approval by the EU Council and the legislators of the European Parliament. His discussion coincides with the discussion phase for the introduction of “a new independent system control system and exits of the EU Schengen space” that could enter into force in November.

On this new system it is known that travelers not belonging to the EC member countries must undergo a scan when entering the “Schengen space, the passport -free interior area that covers most of the most Norwegian EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, but excludes Ireland and Chipre.”

The astronauts of the Asian country already have the new suit, in red and white, that will allow them to carry out this great feat. It was designed, according to CNSA reports, “to withstand the Moon’s extreme temperatures, as well as radiation and dust, while allowing astronauts physical flexibility to perform tasks on the lunar surface, according to state media.” In terms of technology, the new suit is equipped with a short- and long-range camera, an operations console and an anti-glare helmet.

China has made significant efforts to modernize the suits its astronauts will wear, in addition to advances in planning the trip to the Moon in 2030. In this regard, the CNSA’s work in recent years stands out through “a series of increasingly complex robotic lunar missions, including the first in history to bring lunar samples from the far side of the Moon earlier this year.”

The country’s ambition is to become the second to send astronauts to the Moon. It is worth recalling that earlier this year, Chinese officials announced the name of the spacecraft for the lunar mission, “Mengzhou, or Ship of Dreams, and the lander, Lanyue, or Embracing the Moon.” China’s ambitions include “establishing an international lunar research station at the Moon’s South Pole by 2040.”

The president of the Superior Electoral Court, Alexandre de Moraes, was in charge of making the decision, after considering “the appeal presented by the defense of the leader of the Liberal Party to be outside the rules.”

The ruling occurred on Friday, May 24, and was published in the electronic system of the Judiciary this Sunday, according to the state agency Agencia Brasil.

As will be remembered, the former president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, was convicted “in two processes by the electoral court, which determined in 2023 that he had violated the rules to try to take advantage in the 2022 presidential elections, which he finally lost in the second round against the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.”

In the first conviction, Bolsonaro was disqualified until 2030 from participating in electoral processes. The argument was to have summoned ambassadors to the Alvorada Palace to denounce alleged fraud in the electoral system without evidence.

Regarding the second sentence, the former president was disqualified until 2030 after using the structure of the State during the events for the Bicentennial of Independence, on September 7, 2022, “to promote his presidential candidacy with his presence in Brasilia and Rio of Janeiro.”

In 2022 there was a funding gap of 32.7 billion euros ($34.6 billion), according to a report published today by WWF. In 2023, the gap would still be 8.3 billion euros, although taking into account the planned expenses, not the actual ones.

But not all sectors are underfunded, according to the report. The construction sector is even overfunded by 2023: there is an annual need of 12.4 billion euros, compared to 18.5 billion that will be made available for financing.

On the other hand, the expansion of local public transport requires an average of 5.7 billion euros annually, but only 3.4 billion is planned to be spent.

“The government acts on climate protection as if it wanted to build a house without a financial plan: it does not look at how expensive the house will be in total,” said Viviane Raddatz, climate manager at WWF Germany. “He doesn’t check whether the doors and windows actually fill the gaps, and whether the painting he ordered wasn’t actually intended for cars rather than walls. No one in their right mind would approach a vital task in such a haphazard manner.”

Germany faces incalculable challenges regarding the 2030 climate agenda, by which time less than 80 % of local electricity consumption should come from renewable energy. This is an unavoidable requirement to become a climate-neutral industrial country in 2045. A point in Germany’s favor is its early start, in the 1990s, of renewable energies, which gives it knowledge and disposition.

The United States Chamber of Commerce called for regulation of artificial intelligence technology in order to prevent it from hindering economic growth or posing a risk to national security. Although there are no AI-specific legislative proposals yet, some US lawmakers have raised concerns about the impact of the ChatGPT artificial intelligence program on national security and education.

In a report, the Chamber argues that business and policymakers need to work together to establish a risk-based regulatory framework to ensure responsible implementation of AI.

The paper also highlights that AI is expected to add $13 trillion to global economic growth by 2030 and has made important contributions, such as alleviating nursing shortages in hospitals and mapping wildfires to speed response by fire management officials. emergencies.

The Chamber emphasizes the need to be prepared for the imminent ubiquity of technology and its potential dangers, stating that in 20 years, “virtually all” businesses and government agencies will use AI.
