Elon Musk could charge $20 a month for account certification
Once the purchase transaction of the Twitter social network by Elon Musk took place, the tycoon has generated controversy. The most recent is the possible monthly payment of $20 for the certification of accounts
Recent information has leaked the possibility that Elon Musk, after taking over the social network Twitter, imposes a $20 monthly charge for account certification.
The billionaire, who caused quite a stir by announcing that he was buying Twitter, then retracting it and finally making the transaction a day before the deadline, could establish a subscription payment for the social network of $19.99.
According to the specialized platform The Verge, users of the social network would have reasonable time, estimated at approximately three months, to pay the amount for the blue ticket in their accounts that accredits them as certified.
In case of not disbursing the 20 dollars, they would lose the verification, but not the accounts. The change, seen as radical, has been communicated to the platform staff, who must have everything ready for its entry into force on November 7.
The decision does nothing more than ratify Musk’s desire to multiply Twitter’s income, by default, by increasing the number of subscriptions.
