Colombia concentrates the largest number of Bitcoin ATMs in LA

The country has a network of 50 ATMs distributed throughout the territory, of which 24 are located in Bogotá

El Salvador was the first country in the world to assume a crypto as legal tender in its territory. However, it is one of the nations that has fewer ATMs where citizens can acquire Bitcoin.

According to the Coin ATM Radar website database, “there are only four ATMs where you can buy and sell Bitcoin in El Salvador” and two of them are located in the capital, San Salvador.

Colombia is the Latin American nation with the most ATMs. It has a network of 50 ATMs in its territory that handle Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The city of Bogotá has almost half of them, about 24 ATMs, while 7 are in the city of Medellín and 4 in Cúcuta. The rest is scattered in the other cities of the country.

In the database of the website, it is also observed that Puerto Rico is the second nation with the most terminals, adding a total of 29 ATMs, of which 11 are in the capital, San Juano. The third place is occupied by Brazil with 21 locations, while Sao Paulo concentrates nine of them.

Then comes Panama which concentrates 19 ATMs in the capital city and Mexico with a total of 17 ATMs, of which 6 are located in the city of Tijuana and 5 in Mexico City.

Other cities in Latin American and Caribbean countries that have ATMs where cryptocurrencies can be obtained are: Santo Domingo with 11 ATMs; the city of Buenos Aires with 10 terminals and Santiago de Chile and Lima with 3 ATMs respectively.
