Colombia: Abelardo de la Espriella wins presidential election

Following the vote count in the Colombian presidential elections held this Sunday, June 21, the winner was announced: Abelardo de la Espriella

Labor candidate Abelardo de la Espriella is the new president of Colombia. He will take office on August 7, when Gustavo Petro’s presidential term ends.

According to the vote count, Abelardo de la Espriella defeated the left-wing candidate Iván Cepeda in the presidential elections this Sunday, June 21.

The map of Latin America now has a new right-wing government. The new president will occupy the presidential chair during the period 2026-2030.
