Coffee consumption and demand in Venezuela guaranteed for this year
According to statements by Ricardo Martínez, director of Piro Café, endorsed by Williams Amaro, general manager of the Venezuelan Coffee Company (EVC), coffee consumption and demand in Venezuela are guaranteed for 2026.
The director of Piro Café, Ricardo Martínez, stated last week that coffee consumption and demand in Venezuela are guaranteed for this year.
He indicated that the information is endorsed by the general manager of the Venezuelan Coffee Company (EVC), Williams Amaro, who emphasized that the data is official.
He also affirmed that “coffee has become a flagship product of Venezuelan public policy to boost economic growth, an advance that – he noted – has been validated by international organizations such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).”
Martínez pointed out that coffee exports from the country increased by 500% last year and indicated that an “aggressive planting policy” will be implemented; “coffee is a powerful tool within the economy.”
Regarding supply, he emphasized that there are between 10 and 15 commercial coffee brands available on supermarket shelves for consumers to choose from. He added that Piro Café is expected to begin marketing its product to Turkey in a couple of weeks, asserting that they already have the certificate of origin to export to Barbados as well.
