According to information from various media, in this island they are working on the construction of 39 luxury villas, which can be paid for through cryptocurrency.
Property developers said that accepting cryptocurrency as a form of payment is more of a necessity than a way to attract people’s attention.
“The adoption of cryptocurrency is far from being a gimmick. It is a response to the very real challenges facing island communities, increasingly isolated from conventional banking facilities“, explained Storm Gonsalves, the real estate manager behind the One Bequia project.
