Bayern Munich and Tottenham agree on the transfer of Harry Kane

The transfer of striker Harry Kane was agreed between Bayern Munich and Tottenham for 100 million euros

Bayern Munich reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the transfer of striker Harry Kane for around 100 million euros (108 million dollars), various media reported this Thursday.

According to the portal The Athletic, citing sources in Germany, the decision on a pass to the Bundesliga now corresponds to the English player himself, 30 years old. The Sky pay-TV channel also reported on it.

Kane could thus become the most expensive signing in the history of the Munich club and, predictably, one of the players with the highest income. For his part, the footballer pushed for a decision to be made before the start of the Premier League this weekend.

The captain of the England team still has a contract at Tottenham until the (European) summer of 2024, but Spurs and especially the club’s owner, Joe Lewis, were not willing to lose their striker on a free transfer. Therefore, Lewis had demanded the immediate sale of Kane if he refused to sign a new contract with the London club.

The striker has been performing regularly in the Premier League for years. Only last season he scored 30 goals in 38 English league games, second only to Norwegian Erling Haaland (36 goals), from champion Manchester City. However, Kane plays for Tottenham Hotspur and therefore a much weaker team.

With 213 goals, Kane trails only Alan Shearer (260 goals) on the list of top scorers in the English league. The athlete is also very reliable in the national team. And it is precisely this reliability that values, among other virtues, the German champion.
